History
Pancasila University was founded on October 28, 1966. UP is an amalgamation of Pancasila University (old) which was founded in 1963 and Bung Karno University.
Pancasila which is used as the name of this university is in accordance with the mission carried out by the Pancasila University, namely “To provide a positive role in the development of science and technology as well as the development of a Pancasila society as aspired in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution.”
In carrying out the wheel of life in the academic field, at the initial stage there has been a land area of 10,160 m² and a building with an area of 5,196 m² located on Jl. Borobudur No. 7 Central Jakarta. The land and building were donated from the Ministry of Finance to the Pancasila University Education and Trustees Foundation (YPPUP) which was signed on 21 April 1987.
In addition, in 1985, Pancasila University received a building loan on Jl. Garuda Kemayoran, Central Jakarta for lectures at the Faculty of Economics. With the construction of the Faculty of Economics building in Srengseng Sawah, South Jakarta in 1988, the lectures of the Faculty of Economics students moved to a new building and were gradually followed by other faculties.
Currently, Pancasila University has a campus in Srengseng Sawah covering an area of 111,255 m² with a building area of 38,076 m² consisting of the Rectorate, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Engineering, meanwhile the Jl. Borobudur No. 7 Central Jakarta, is currently used for lectures for the Postgraduate Program.
In terms of management, the general guidance of Pancasila University is under the auspices of the foundation, namely the Pancasila University Education and Trustee Foundation which was established with the Notary Deed of G.H.S. Loemban Tobing S.H Number: 14 dated January 19, 1970.
The Faculty of Law, Pancasila University (FHUP), which is under the auspices of the Pancasila University Education and Fostering Foundation (YPPUP), according to the notarial deed of GHS Lumban Tobing, SH, Number 14, dated January 9, 1970 and completed with the same notarial deed numbered 1 dated November 1, 1983.
Master of Law Study Program
The Master of Law Program at Pancasila University as a study program that provides Masters (S2) education, was established on February 8, 2001 based on Registered Certificate Number 40/DIKTI/Kep/2001.
Then in 2008 obtained Accreditation B (good) status based on the Decree of BAN PT Number: 021/BAN-PT/Ak-VI/S2/I/2009 dated January 23, 2009.
The Master of Law Program managed to get Accreditation B (good) based on The Decree of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education Number: 384/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/IX/2014 dated 27 September 2014 is valid until 26 September 2019.
In carrying out its role as a higher education institution, the Masters Program in Law at Pancasila University is guided by on the vision and mission of the Master of Law Program in accordance with the vision and mission of Pancasila University.
